This is my first post, and to kick off proceedings, I'm dropping some Madchester funk, courtesy of our own 'Godfather of funk', Ian Brown and The Stone Roses. We may struggle to do hip-hop in the UK, but we sure know how to make heavy, hybrid, what-do-you-call-that-sound? music that I wish the likes of Jay Z would get their heads round.
I mean, come on , Jigga - COLDPLAY???
Actually, I can imagine Nas on this, more than Jigga. Yes, you know it all, I do know that Run DMC used it on their track, What's it all about? I'm just saying - Fools Gold is the kind of track that inspires me. I love hip-hop, but I listen to stuff like this to find the breaks of the future.

Welcome to I Can't Believe It! It's Buttamouf!, a blog dedicated to music, film, books and current affairs. Yes, that's right - current affairs.

I'm a musician, working with my mate Joe Buhdha as well as musicians from the Community Recording Studio in Nottingham. I also study music technology at the Confetti Institute of Creative Technologies.

Sorry, but he's on the television with his band singing some toss about 'every generation has a chance to change' something or other.

As you can see, I'm not really a fan of preachy, 'save the world' MILLIONAIRE types, although I did shed a tiny tear while watching the Michael Jackson memorial concert. A tiny tear, because the rest are reserved for all those dying in unnecessary conflicts around the globe.
